On September 5th, the third HospiBot partner meeting took place, which this time focused on the development of the mobile base, the skeleton and a modular fairing, as well as tests of the robot-human interaction. The Fahrenheit development team (SDU – Alberto Vicente Chacón, Anthon Kristian Skov Petersen, John Allan Brøndum Holm Øllgaard, Tamás Gábor, Peter Khiem Duc Tinh Nguyen) presented the new Lidar scanner, as well as its new mapping and navigation. The OUH project team presented the results of a test on robot-human interaction with voice function, which showed that the robot led to more interaction in the check-in area. The Kiel UAS employees then reported on the results of their test on interface design and the associated interaction. For this, they used a touch display based on the check-in terminals used at UKSH. In addition, they had some test subjects use an eye tracker while using the robot.
